01About Aylward Solutions

This Privacy Policy explains how Aylward Solutions collects, uses and protects information about visitors who use aylwardsolutions.ie, request a quote, or otherwise engage with the services.

Aylward Solutions builds custom software and websites for Irish businesses. It is run by Jack Aylward, based in Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. It is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any questions, get in touch at contact@aylwardsolutions.ie.

The short version: only the data genuinely needed is collected, never sold, kept secure, and full control is available over the information at any time.

02What information Aylward Solutions Collects

Aylward Solutions collects different types of information depending on the interaction:

  • A name, email address (and optionally a phone number and company) when submitting the quote form or sending a message.
  • Details about the project or enquiry, service type, budget range, timeline, and the description provided.
  • Any other information shared in correspondence with me.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic device and browser information (browser type, operating system, screen size).
  • Approximate location (country/region level only) based on IP address.
  • Pages visited, time on site, and referring website, provided accepted analytics cookies.

03How the information is used

The information collected is used for clear, limited purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries, replying to quote requests, follow-up questions, and project conversations.
  • To deliver the services for engaged services, managing the project, communicating progress, and handling invoicing.
  • To improve the website and services, understanding which pages are useful so Available to keep improving (only with consent).
  • To comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and any other applicable Irish or EU law.

05Sharing personal data

Personal data is never sold. It is only shared with trusted third parties who help deliver the services:

  • Web hosting and infrastructure providers, to keep the site online and personal data secure.
  • Form processing services, to receive and route quote requests to the Aylward Solutions inbox (currently Web3Forms).
  • Email and communication providers, to reply and keep records of the correspondence.
  • Analytics providers, anonymous, aggregated usage data only, if accepted analytics cookies.
  • Accounting and legal advisors, when strictly necessary to meet regulatory obligations.

Every provider used is bound by appropriate data protection agreements and processes personal data in line with this policy.

06Cookies & analytics

This website uses a small number of cookies, some are essential for the site to function, others are optional and only set with consent.

07Data retention

Only keeps personal data for as long as needed it for the purpose it was collected:

  • Quote requests that don't progress to an engagement are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Active client records are kept for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years afterwards, in line with Irish tax and accounting requirements.
  • Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 26 months.

08The rights under GDPR

Under the GDPR, businesses have a number of rights relating to personal data. Available rights include:

  • Access the personal data held about visitors.
  • Correct any data that's inaccurate or out of date.
  • Delete personal data ("the right to be forgotten"), subject to any legal obligations Has to retain it.

09Security
